Lover boy Short Story Contest - ZERO submissions
Hi!
Issue # 13, November 21, 2009
The first writing contest is up at Writing-lovers.com! Yep, you heard right! The deadline has been shifted to the 1st of February, 2010. Now that should give you plenty of time to really get absorbed in the story line, the setting, the characters and the theme. So get busy, lover boy is coming. A friend dropped in a hint that most of you good folks are busy around this time of year with thanks-giving and christmass, and... pretty much everything else. Additionally, very few know about this contest, so why rush things? Follow this link for more information: http://www.writing-lovers.com/writing-contests.html
So far there are... zero submissions for the contest. I've been jokingly telling my friends: You know what, if you submit your story, you might just be the only one who submits, so there is a hundred percent chance of wining! This is the first contest I am holding, and I probably have a lot of things to get right! I do not expect a lot though. I am even expecting no submissions at all! Then why am I doing it? Basically, just for fun. I know there are a lot of people out there who love writing, and they would write just for the love of it. Even if there aren't a thousand dollars to win—yet; even if very little of the world knows LJ Kundananji—yet; even if winning won't give you instant glory and fame, I know there are still people out there who would write anyway. I certainly hope I will not be proved wrong. So to big up the fun, I have decided to make some interesting changes. Each story submitted gets published on the website instantly! You can even attach your photo and other interesting details to your entry. Additionally, readers will get a chance to rate your story, helping me to pick out which one will win! If you are passionate about writing, this is contest is for you! Aside from inclusion in my up-coming book, Loverboy and other Stories, there's a whole big and bright future. Read in between the lines. Now, if you believe in LJ Kundananji, and you share his passion, go ahead. Proceed. Follow this link: Spread the Word!Tell your friends about Writer Digest.
