As a writer, I feel it incumbent on me to provide motivation for writers.
Are you a writer on the verge of despair?
Are there times when you just can't write?
Are there times when you seat for hours one end, raking your brains, and chewing the end of your pen, with absolutely no idea of what to write?
Are there times when you feel that you have been working for nothing and that you would be better off doing something else other than writing?
Are there times when you listen to your caring and well meaning friends who say you are better of being an Engineer, Doctor or any of the so-called respected occupations?
Yes, are there times when you feel that you should quit writing?
If there are, then you need some motivation.
Actually, I feel like screaming: "Don't stop writing!"
I feel that writers are special people with a special gift no matter how much others may belittle them. And no matter how much of a loser you think you are, I believe that you are one of a kind, and all this because you love writing.
Yes, sometimes there are rainy days down writers lane, and you may end up thinking you have worked for nothing.
Yes, sometimes, after working so hard on a certain piece, it may be rejected or it may not produce the desired results.
Yes, sometimes you may feel like throwing in the towel.
But please, don't quit writing!
Keep at it and one day, things will work out. Even for people like Mark Twain, things did not work out at first. But they never gave up, and look where that took them!
Now, here is what I have done if for any reason you feel like quiting: compiled a few articles which I hope will send you back to writing with enthusiasm, vigour and vim.
Yes, below is a bit of motivation for writers who may be having rainy days. I do have rainy days myself sometimes. But I've managed to get out of them on many occassions. I hope that these articles will fill you with a bit of sunshine get you writng once more.
