Types of Resumes

Resumes consist of three types. These are:

  1. Chronological Resume: This is the usual way of writing a resume, with the focus being on your work experience. This experience is listed chronologically, with the most recent going first.

  2. Functional Resume: This type of resume writing focuses on your accomplishments and skills and how you can use these for the benefit of your prospective employer. In other words, it is more concerned with selling your skills and abilities.

  3. Combination: implements characteristics of both a functional and chronological resume.
