Poem # 1
By LJ Kundananji
Without you, all else is not here, is dead,
With you I regain my power, I stand.
A terrible void I can’t explain no
Pierces through my heart; tears it, I’m hollow;
My eyes dim and dispense a fountain large
Enough to drown every one an’ ‘em submerge.
Their redness can set ablaze green woodlands.
When you are gone only vague images
In my mind silhouetted ‘gainst grim darkness .
Our hearts were yoked in eternal bond, never less,
That day you opened you door an’ smiled broad
Was the day all darkness from my heart fled.
When you are gone, it return’d, me it’s abode;
All else matters least, is nonexistent.
Yes, without you, all else is dead, extinct.
Hence understand why without you I die
Ev’ry bit is true; I dare not e’en lie.
